About HOPE
HOPE project is a fully student-run, not-for-profit project by AIESEC in Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) .HOPE project was established through a partnership between AIESEC and Standard Chartered Bank. The specific aim of the project is to educate and increase the awareness among member of general public about HIV/AIDS and to influence a behavioural change among young people that will result in a reduction in the number of HIV/AIDS cases among young people in Malaysia .
Mission
- To raise awareness and instil knowledge of HIV/AIDS among the youth
- To eliminate stigma and discrimination towards people living with HIV/AIDS
- To provide relevant, accurate and reliable information about HIV/AIDS among the youth
Product
* HOPE Workshop*
International volunteers involve in delivering education and conduct face-to-face HIV/AIDS awareness sessions. They are trained about HIV/AIDS, how to communicate effectively, and are offered a choice of educational resources. Workshops conducted by interns related to HIV/AIDS education to raise awareness among peers and youths based on a holistic education model provided by Standard Charted Bank.

This event will coming soon in March 2011 .The income generated by the event will be contributed to the fund for HOPE project, AIESEC UPM and limited NGOs or shelter homes. Booths in the exhibition will be run concurrently to issue education regarding HIV/AIDS current statistic, general knowledge and discussion and story sharing by particular party. In the end of the event, we believe we would able to eliminate stigma and discrimination towards people living with HIV/AIDS
